Just perhaps developers of Toronto Condos are signing in unison with the positive results of over 14,792 Condominium sales, an increase of 2 per cent over 2008.
The fourth quarter of Condominium sales was the third highest on record according to a leading Market Research firm.
The lower interest rates and Government incentives helped stoke the fires of home ownership from just 917 Condo sales in the first quarter to 6,295 sales in the fourth quarter of 2009.
The average price of new Condos in Toronto and area increased to $435 per square foot , up from $414 per square foot a year earlier.
There are a few concerns for the Toronto Condo Market in 2010, the biggest is the HST and also a weak job market.
According to the CMHC 35,000 new Toronto Condos are under construction and most of these will be completed in 2010.
